With over 30 years of experience in the off-road and 4x4 industry, we've seen it all—from the early days when lift kits were nearly unheard of, to the massive tires and suspension systems that are now available.

Back in the day, the biggest tires on the market were 12x15s, and names like Gumbo Mudder, Ground Hawg, and Armstrong Tru Tracs dominated the scene. Radial off-road tires hadn’t even come into play yet, and Jackman white spoke wheels were the go-to choice—unless you were really looking to turn heads with a set of Western Wheel Cyclones. Roll bars and grill guards were all the rage, and over time, roll bars evolved from basic 2" tubes to double and even triple tube designs. 

As the years went on, lift kits started to appear, and tires grew larger and larger. A Chevy short bed with a 4” lift and 14/35 Mudders was considered massive at the time! But we didn’t stop there. Suspension kits expanded from 4” to 6”, 8”, and eventually 12”. Tires grew from 32” all the way to today’s massive 54” “axle breakers.”
